Rose Cheesecake Mousse in Dark Chocolate Cups with Pistachios

May 9, 2015

I think this is one of  the fanciest things I’ve ever made. I’ve been seeing these chocolate cups around and have been dying to try this for myself. I had no idea how to do it but made some good guesses with only one disastrous mishap. I will share it with you so you don’t make the same mistake that I did with an eight foot radius of spattered chocolate in the kitchen. Continue Reading…

Easy Guinness Chocolate Cake with Super Rich Chocolate Icing

April 27, 2015

Well it looks like I’m doing a series on these cakes. I am just so obsessed with them. Not just because of how incredibly easy they are to make, but because of how moist and unbelievably delicious they are. It’s really surprising. I was in the grocery store today and realized that I have all this Guinness at home and thought that might be nice to mix with a chocolate cake. Plus it’s Friday. Why not have dessert? Continue Reading…

Easy Cream Soda Cake with Salted Caramel Sauce

April 20, 2015

We had an old friend come to dinner this weekend and I had been running around with my kids all week during their spring break. (Dear old friend, if you’re reading this, I’m not saying you’re old, I’m just saying we’ve known you a long time. Ha! Especially since we are all the same age.) During this school-free week, I had a special day with each of my children. I try to fit in special time for each but in a regular school week, it’s tough. Easy Crockpot Roast Beef Poboys with Debris

April 8, 2015

There is nothing that a good poboy can’t solve. My two go-to poboys are shrimp and roast beef with some really good debris. What’s debris you ask? Just what the word implies, lots of little, tiny pieces of roast beef mixed with a rich juice. This kind of poboy is one of the messiest poboys you will ever eat. It’s so messy but so yummy! All the debris and juice are just dripping out of your sandwich, Continue Reading…

Tutorial On How To Make A Decomesh Wreath

April 4, 2015

My sister convinced me to make an Easter wreath with her. Actually, after taking down my Mardi Gras wreath (3-4 weeks late) my house was looking kind of bare. Also, I had some people ask questions about my Christmas wreath post, so I thought now would be a good time to clarify some of those questions using videos. Sometimes it’s hard to really show what needs to happen in pictures.  This happens to be an Easter wreath but you could make on for any holiday or season. You could make a 4th of July wreath or a summer one with cut flip flops on it or a pail and shovel. Your imagination is the only limit! Continue Reading…

Awesome Easter Egg Hunt Party Ideas

March 30, 2015

I realize that I have not posted in almost 2 weeks. I’ve really, really missed it but I’ve been so busy putting together an Easter egg hunt for our Marin Parents of Multiples Club among other things like sick children and the class art project for my big one’s school auction. When it rains, it pours. I wanted to share some of the special and creative ideas for this party that you could incorporate into your Easter Sunday fun day. Continue Reading…

Smoked Corned Beef and Cajun Cabbage

March 17, 2015

St. Patrick’s Day is getting close and I’m here to give you the Cajun version of corned beef and cabbage. That doesn’t mean you can’t eat it all year long. This stuff is amazing. When my dad first smoked the corned beef, I was pregnant and could not tolerate the taste or smell of smoke. But I did taste it, and I loved it. Smoked corn beef is by far the best and tastiest way to eat corned beef. And this cabbage is “not ya Irish Mama’s cabbage.” Continue Reading…
